Keep enclosed white artwork

A global white-color remover cannot distinguish a white canvas from white letters or highlights. This tool identifies the dominant edge color and removes only similar pixels connected to the outer edge.

The method runs locally and is most reliable for flat logos on a consistent background. Preview on dark and saturated colors to reveal pale halos or missing strokes.

How to remove a flattened logo canvas

  1. 1

    Choose the largest raster source

Use a direct PNG or high-quality export instead of a screenshot when possible.

  2. 2

    Adjust edge color tolerance

Increase it only until the outside canvas clears while enclosed artwork remains.

  3. 3

    Test and export

Inspect the logo on contrasting colors, then download transparent PNG.

Useful for reusable logo assets

Website navigation

Prepare a transparent logo for a colored header.

Packaging mockups

Place a flattened logo over a package without a rectangular canvas.

Presentation assets

Reuse a logo across slides while retaining internal white detail.

Know when to use the source file instead

If an SVG or layered design exists, remove its background shape directly for the cleanest result.

  • A background not connected to an image edge will remain opaque.
  • Heavy JPEG artifacts, shadows, and gradients can leave a fringe.
  • Artwork touching an outer edge and matching the background color may be removed.

Logo transparency questions

Why not delete every white pixel?

That also deletes white letters, highlights, and shapes. Edge-connected removal limits changes to the surrounding canvas.

Can I download a transparent JPEG?

No. The tool exports PNG because JPEG has no alpha channel.

How do I check for a halo?

Preview the result on black and a saturated color at 100–200% zoom before download.
